Homestead Hospice is led by Managing CEO, Mallie Sharafat. Mallie founded Homestead Hospice in 2006 after experiencing hospice with a loved one that was more mechanical in its approach to hospice care than Mallie believed hospice care should be. After 25 years building successful businesses, Mallie knew that she could create a hospice that would deliver care according to her vision of personalization and individualization. Her leadership, creativity and constant push for enhancing systems, processes and programs is one of the reasons for Homestead Hospice's explosive growth over the past 5 years.

"I believe that every person on this earth has a right to die in comfort, surrounded by people who care for them. If there is a way to bring just a little smile on the faces of our patients and families during this difficult time, we must find a way to make that happen."
