TRAINED VOLUNTEERS
At Homestead Hospice and Palliative Care, our volunteers provide non-medical services to patients and families
and assist in a variety of ways. Our Volunteers are an integral part of the care we provide and can help with
reading, companionship, writing letters, running errands or just sitting as a companion. Our volunteers continue to
express their feelings of joy and inspiration as they make a difference in the lives of the patients and families
they help. Volunteers can also provide administrative help to our staff or assist in
the communities by helping with activities or providing education on hospice care at local churches,
etc.
THERE ARE MANY WAYS THAT HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS CAN HELP
Community Outreach - representing Homestead Hospice in the community.
Clerical Support - fulfilling clerical tasks to support the office operations.

housekeeping and emotional support.
Special Skills/Therapies - Massage, art, pet and other therapies. Providing language skills,
hair dressing and other light personal care needs.
